Night services

Munich's night services will get you home safely from practically every bar or disco, theatre or cinema – they cover almost the entire network of the city district of Munich and run all night long.

During the week
During nights prior to working days, the four night trams, N17, N19, N20 and N27 run every hour, as does the night buses N40, N41 and N45. Between 1.30am and 4.30am they all stop at the Karlsplatz (Stachus) stop at the same time once every hour, where they wait for five minutes so that passengers can change routes and continue their journey in any direction.

At the weekend
During nights prior to Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays, these routes run every half hour! Of course this means that they also stop at the Karlsplatz (Stachus) stop every half hour too.
Night buses N42, N44, N47, N48 also run every 30 minutes. Shortly after 2am, “night owl trains” also run on the S-Bahn (suburban railway) network to practically all final destinations throughout the region.
